The PROFIBUS D1 Repeater provides M12 connections for PROFIBUS DP networks in harsh IP66 environments where dust and water are present. This robust repeater provides an isolated RS 485 interface for all PROFIBUS DP baud rates including 12 Mbps. An unlimited number of D1 repeaters may be cascaded with no degradation to the network. Both segments have on-board switchable termination and are able to drive 31 devices while constantly monitoring data and filtering out possible glitches.

This UL-listed device also offers flexibility when wiring PROFIBUS DP cable with M12 connectors, allowing the channels to be terminated or daisy-chained to neighboring components. An extra M12 connector is provided on the outgoing channel for easier maintenance or engineering tool connections. Power is provided to the repeater though an M8 connector.

With these capabilities, the PROFIBUS D1 is a necessary component for PROFIBUS DP networks in need of IP66 protection.
